Today, we packed up our bags, gave Sheru one last hug and hit the road.
Initially, we planned to fly to Vancouver (BC) and then on to France, but the flights were too expensive so we drove. Our first stop was Seattle, where we picked up Susie. She was staying at Andrea’s house, which gave us a chance to say hi to everyone.
From there, we continued on to Vancouver - or rather, Burnaby. The rain made the drive rather dreary, but we reached our AirBnb before dark with only one minor hitch. We thought our Global Entry would allow us to use the Nexus line at the border. It does not, and so we got waved over to the main office for a brief screening. With any luck, that will be our only issue with immigration.
A little later, Susan, Leann, and Shawn joined us at the AirBnb, and we caught up over a lovely Punjabi feast. Tomorrow, we have a full day planned in Vancouver.
