Today, Roy and I took a half-day rafting trip down the White Salmon River.
The trip includes several class IV rapids and an 18-foot jump off a ledge into the river during a portage (I got a nose full of water).
The grand finale is a 12-foot plunge over Husum Falls. We had to practice several times before going over: paddle, paddle, right up to the edge, then squat low in the boat and grab the safety cords with both hands.
This is not us but it is the ledge we jumped off
Paddling down the White Salmon River. We are in the last row.
Husum Falls. Now you see 'em...
Roy is front right and I am middle left.
Now you don't.
Hello again.
