Anne and I had dinner at Backpacker Pizza tonight to celebrate my birthday. It is a relatively new restaurant in Camas and we have been wanting to try it.
I’m sorry to report that the food was pretty mediocre. We started with a salad that was fresh and light and a dish of bread sticks that were hard and bland. The main course - a vegetarian pizza - was disappointing. The crust was hard, the cheese was skimpy, and the toppings were uninspiring - canned black olives.
Oh well, we enjoyed our walk around the downtown and a quick drink at Cap's N Taps, and now we can cross this restaurant off our list.
Importantly, these are the kind of experiences that will help us decide if we should stay in the states or move abroad. Does Camas have the amenities we are looking for? Maybe not for pizza. :-)
